Two more Trigg County High School football players have signed to continue their football careers in college – Luke McKenzie with Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn., and Mike White with Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro.

Both were joined by family, friends, coaches and school administrators for their signings Tuesday at the school library.

McKenzie has received preferred walk-on status at Austin Peay and is expected to compete for playing time at quarterback.

“It’s big for Luke and for our program,” Trigg head coach Coby Lewis said. “We’re really excited for him.”

McKenzie finished his Trigg career in second place all-time behind Dan Moser in three categories – passing yards (4,328), completions (309) and attempts (610) – and was fourth in touchdowns (42).
