Virginia Forsythe died of natural causes at 2 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at her home.
Virginia was born on Dec. 12, 1926, in Trigg County to Chess Green and Opal Hester Green.
Virginia was a member of the Cadiz Church of Christ and she was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson “Jack” Forsythe; three sisters, Shirley Green, Marie Cerasi and Destelle Lancaster; and three brothers, Raymond Earl Green, Nelson Green and Glenwood Green.
She is survived by one brother, Morgan “Monk” Green (and wife Wilma) of Cerulean; three sons, Frankie Lewis (and wife Patricia), Robert Lewis and Timmy Lewis (and wife Christine), all of Cadiz; three daughters, Linda Blane (and husband Barry), Tina Birdsong (and husband Teddy) and Jackie Futrell (and husband Kelvin), all of Cadiz; nine grandchildren, Tulsa Lewis, Tessa Moore, Coby Lewis, Nicholas Woodruff, Aubrey Woodruff, Levingston, “Lev” Lewis, Gabriella “Gabby” Lewis, Hannah Futrell and Seth Futrell, all of Cadiz; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sullivan, Malea Lewis, Trevor Lewis and Ty Lewis, all of Cadiz; two great-great-grandchildren, Michael Kole Belvins and McKinlee Lewis, both of Cadiz; seven step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Kelvin Futrell, Barry Blane, Teddy Birdsong, Tulsa Lewis, Nicholas Woodruff and Levingston Lewis. Music was provided by Clarissa King, pianist.
