A new Trigg County Emergency Management Director to replace the late Randy Wade will be named and will start next month, Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander said last week.

Alexander said the new director will be named when the Trigg County Fiscal Court meets on Monday, March 3, and should start by Saturday, March 15. He further said that the county’s Personnel Committee has already started interviewing four finalists.

“That allows them, whoever they are, two weeks to notify their employer,” Alexander said.

Those four finalists were whittled down from 16 applicants when magistrates met in executive session last Tuesday evening, after the regular, public Fiscal Court meeting.

Wade, who died in late August last year, had been the Trigg County Emergency Management Director for 10 years, and had been the county’s facilities manager for about eight years.
