Almost 200 people turned out Saturday night for a retro television fundraiser, held at the Trigg County Schools Cafeteria, for Trigg County Hospital’s digital mammography program.

The dinner, dessert auction and show, titled “Must See Retro TV,” is the spiritual successor to the “Hee Haw” fundraiser the Trigg County Hospital Foundation used for the past few years. TCHF member Alan Watts said they were looking to try something different this year, and that he was more excited about this show than all of the previous “Hee Haw” shows combined.

“You all are going to see some things that are going to bring you back in time,” Watts said. “We had such a good time thinking about planning it, that there was no choice. We had to do this.”

Trigg County Hospital Human Resources Director Janet James said they raised almost $11,000 between individual ticket sales, table sales, donations and the dessert auction, a number that is comparable to previous fundraisers.
