Betty Killebrew passed away following a long illness at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville.
Betty was born on Dec. 1, 1928, in Schwig, Iowa, to Nicholas Edward Hollander and Clara Ann Tamm Hollander.
Betty was a member of the Wallonia Christian Church. She was a retired respiratory therapist from Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Joshua Killebrew; three sisters, and four brothers.
She is survived by one sister, Ernestine Goetz (and husband Harold) of Rapid City, N.D.; three sons, Lawrence Victor Killebrew (and wife Lori) of Livingston, La., Thomas Nicholas Killebrew (and wife Sherry) of Dallas, Texas and Lonnie Joshua, Jr. Killebrew (and wife Angela) of Cadiz; two daughters, Karen Ann Potts and the late Eugene Hoyt Potts of Mentone, Ala. and Gloria Jean Moreno of Portland, Ore.; 18 grandchildren, Michael Potts, Melanie Garrett, Moria Potts, Jason, Josh, Justin and Jeremiah Killebrew, Michelle Morris, Brian and Adam Killebrew, Carrie Wall, Jonathan Killebrew, Katie Martin, Sandra Clark, Michael Lonnie Clark, Corey Vance Harrison, Jessica Diann Hart and Courtney Gail Harrison; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Potts, Alexander Garrett, Andrue Smith, Joey Garrett, Michael Clark, Corey Harrison, Jonathan Hart, Anna Potts-Garrett. Music will be provided by Betty Oakley, pianist and Courtney Harrison, violinist and vocalist.
