A Kentucky State Police informational meeting primary for farmers is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. at the UK Extension Office.

KSP Public Affairs Officer Beau Mosley said much of the focus of the meeting will be “about what farmers don’t have to do” – that is exemptions to federal regulations for commercial farming vehicles.

This meeting had been scheduled for last Monday, but Mosley said there was a lack of response. He said it’s important for farmers to attend this meeting to get the correct information, which he said was about positive changes.

The meetings specifically relate to agricultural exemptions to MAP-21 (Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century), which involves new regulations on the part of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
