David Bryant will be the new Emergency Management Coordinator and the new Building and Grounds Supervisor, the Trigg County Fiscal Court decided last Tuesday evening.

Magistrates voted 6 – 0, with District Three Magistrate Jon Goodwin abstaining, to appoint Bryant to the post, which was left vacant after Randy Wade passed away in August. Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander recommended Bryant.

“The decision was made that, at this time we need to keep those positions as one,” said Alexander. “There were a few people who fit that bill, and it’s my recommendation to this Court at this time that we name David Bryant … David served in this role in the early 2000s.”

Bryant, a veteran firefighter and emergency responder, currently serves as the assistant fire chief for the East Golden Pond Volunteer Fire Department and works at Windows, Doors & Floors. He was also the President of the Trigg County Firefighters Association before that group disbanded about a year ago.
