Trigg County High School’s bass fishing team will host its 2nd Annual Icebreaker Open on Saturday at Kentucky Lake’s Fenton Boat Ramp.

The event was originally scheduled to be held last month but was postponed due to winter weather.

Registration for the event begins at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, with a pre-tournament meeting at 6:30 and fishing beginning at 7.

“We have schools from Calloway, Marshall, Lyon, Warren East and Dawson Springs signed up so far,” TCHS head coach Scott Schrock said on Tuesday. “It’s going to be a great turnout for western Kentucky high school fishing teams.”

Trophies will be awarded to the top three boats, the school with the highest combined weight (three-boat average) and individual student big bass.
