Much of last year’s Trigg County Wildcat baseball team that finished with a school record-tying 25 wins returns in 2014. The problem is that 2013 seniors Nick Allen, Trace Kuberski and David Wease were integral to Trigg’s offense.

“I was very pleased with last year,” Bush said. “The biggest part of what we lost from that group is 3-4-5 in the lineup. We’ve got a question mark on where our power is going to come from, but at the same time, we’ve got guys that didn’t produce power for us last year but I think will this year.”

One year after another 5th District championship and the school’s third-ever win in the 2nd Region Tournament, Bush said this year’s ‘Cats will face what is likely the toughest schedule in school history, featuring some of the top teams in the 1st and 2nd regions as well as tournaments at Graves County and Louisville Valley.

“If we win 25 games again this year, something major has happened,” Bush said.
