Johnny Ahart passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Ahart retired as a maintenance technician from the Trigg County Housing Authority and had worked many years as an independent building contractor. He was a member of South Union Baptist Church in Trigg County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Lynne Ahart; father, James Ward Ahart; mother, Venida Kathleen Ahart Calhoun; sister, Donna Jean Calhoun.
Mr. Ahart is survived by two brothers, Mike Calhoun of Indiana and Keith Calhoun of Cadiz; two sisters, Debbie Calhoun of Cadiz and Sharon Schoettlin of Indiana; two sons, Brian Ahart (and wife Wendy) and Chad Ahart (and wife Kelly), all of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Hannah, Nick, CJ, Dallas and Tyler Ahart; and special friend Tiffany Ervin of Hopkinsville.
Serving as active pallbearers were Nick Ahart, CJ Ahart, Dallas Ahart, Tyler Ahart, Darrell Sumner and Carl Ray Sumner. Music was provided by Mary Jane Snyder, pianist and Hannah Ahart, vocalist. Memorial contributions may be made to: Cadiz Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 65, Cadiz, KY 42211.
