The owners, Bennai Craighead and Christian Roller, both said their store is full of handmade crafts by local people.
“We do handcrafted items, except for me and her,” said Craighead. “We do lockets, and monogramming bags. Everything else is from other different vendors, and they’re all handcrafted items. No two people have the same thing.”
So far, there are handmade soaps, lotions, lip balms, candles, soy waxes, wreaths, lockets and other jewelry and many other such items, Roller said. She added that they are currently looking for three more people. Craighead said their only requirement is that new crafters not make things that are already being sold, as they don’t want in-store competition.
Char Manning, who owns the Blue Heron, said this was her goal when she started the business incubator program.
