Trigg County High School’s track team competed Saturday in the annual Invitational of the South at Marshall County High School in Draffenville.

Trigg was led on the day by Jayven Jones, who finished third in the triple jump (37 feet, 6 inches) and sixth in the long jump (18-2). Both distances were the best among Class 2A 1st Region athletes at the meet.

Other Trigg boys to compete were:

1600-meter run: Ethan Dossett, 41st, 5:38.55; Matthew Chinn, 47th, 5:41.95; 300-meter hurdles: Ryan Gallogly, 19th, :53.13; 400-meter dash: Brandon Lewis, 24th, 1:03.88; Shot put: Colton Livingston, 14th, 35-4.

Trigg girls to compete were:

Long jump: Shannon Mack, 11th, 13-7.5; 400-meter dash: Koryn Hatfield, 24th, 1:21.94; Freshman 4x800-meter relay (Lexi Ricks, Livi Ricks, Rylee Bush and Bethany Morgan): 12th, 13:34.45.
