A Trigg County man died over the weekend after his pickup truck went over a bridge on Glenwood Mill Road and into Little River on Saturday night.

On Monday, Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson identified the man as 71-year-old Hal Fennell. He was reported missing at about 8:20 p.m. on Saturday and was found in his pickup truck at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, said a report by Trigg County Public Information Officer James Flood.

Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam said Fennell called family members at the time of the accident and said he had run into the river at the Glenwood Mill Road Bridge.

Fennell was retired as director of the Trigg County Health Department and had served for more than 20 years as chairman of the Trigg County Emergency Planning Committee. He was also the current president of the West Kentucky Antique Power Association
