Trigg County High School’s softball team’s losing streak extended to four games last week as the Lady Wildcats lost to Dawson Springs and twice to McLean County.

Trigg hosted McLean for a doubleheader on Saturday, losing 8-7 and 7-2.

In the first game, Trigg fell behind 7-0 before plating a pare of runs in the sixth, but the Lady ‘Cats couldn’t keep the rally going. Autumn Durham, Emily Crowe, Tanna Bush, Te Stewart and Brittany Thomas each had hits for Trigg.

Trigg kept the second game close. After falling behind 5-2, the Lady ‘Cats cut the gap to 5-4 in the fifth. Both teams scored three runs in the sixth, and Trigg was unable to get the tying run across the plate in the seventh.

Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in, and five other Lady ‘Cats had two hits apiece – Crowe, Durham, Dixon, Addison Rogers and Regan Melton.
