Trigg County High School’s baseball team finished a three-day, four-game stretch in Louisville with a 10-5 loss to Bardstown last Wednesday.

The Wildcats, who had already lost 1-0 to Green County and defeated Henry County 7-2 last Monday at Louisville Valley and defeated Wayne County 4-2 last Tuesday at Butler’s Derby City Classic, fell behind early to Bardstown and couldn’t string a rally together.

Bardstown scored six runs in the first two innings and a run in each of the last four frames. Trigg, trailing 9-2 entering the bottom of the sixth, plated three runs to pull within four but were shut out in the seventh.

Tyler Estes went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in, and Ben Wigand had a hit and an RBI.
