Dell Cotton Cowan passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
Mrs. Cowan was a homemaker and a member of Cadiz United Methodist Church. She was active with the Trigg County Hospital Women’s Auxiliary and had volunteered for Pennyroyal Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim H. Cotton, Edgar Freeman and William Dean Cowan; her parents, Beeler Ferguson and Katie Adams Ferguson; four brothers, John Ferguson, Cecil Ferguson, Marvin Ferguson and Everett Earl Ferguson; and twin sister Lillian Nell Ferguson.
She is survived by one brother, Charles Ferguson (and wife Nancy) of Lamasco; two sisters, Mabel Foley of Pembroke and Elizabeth Utsman of Merritt Island, Fla.; one son, Tony Cotton (and wife Sharon) of Cadiz; two grandsons, James Cotton (and wife Sally) and Jeff Cotton (and wife Charlotte), all of Princeton; four great-grandchildren, Ella Kay Cotton, Ethan Cotton, Evan Cotton and Eli Cotton; one sister-in-law, Frances Ferguson of Lamasco; and special friend LaDonna Diggs of Cadiz.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Harold Ferguson, Rob Ferguson, Marvin Ferguson, Pete Glass, Jack Ferguson and Charles Choate. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Glass and Billy Ferguson.
