LEXINGTON – University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment student Lloyd A. Bridges, Jr. (A.J.) received the 2014 ASLA Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement from the American Society of Landscape Architects.

This award recognizes outstanding graduating seniors at each university in the U.S. offering the landscape architecture degree. Students are nominated by the faculty based on their GPA, talent, and leadership abilities, and then evaluated by a jury of professional landscape architects who select the award winners.

The award was presented at the Kentucky Chapter ASLA Annual Conference held on March 7-8, in Louisville.

Bridges is studying landscape architecture in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Kentucky.
