The Cadiz Rotary Club is going to give additional support to the Trigg County School District, via Grants of Innovation.

“Certainly, they are looking to do some unique and novel things in terms of how they engage our students, and certainly new ways of teaching our students, bringing technology to the classrooms,” said Cadiz Rotary Club President Dr. Shea Godwin.

The Cadiz Rotary Club decided to award the $25,500 Grants of Innovation to the schools after the Kentucky Department of Education declared them a District of Innovation, Godwin said. The extra money, she said will allow them to better implement innovative policies.

Trigg County School Superintendent Travis Hamby said the grants - $8,500 per school – are for the Trigg County Primary, Intermediate and Middle Schools for the work they’re doing in the wake of the district being declared a District of Innovation.
