Trigg County students selected for Legislative Page program

Helen Gibson and Seth Futrell, along with other students from around the state, participated in the Legislative Page program at the State Capitol in Frankfort.

Helen is a senior at Trigg County High School, and Seth is an 8th grader at Trigg County Middle School. Both students submitted an essay on “Why I want to be a Legislative Page”, as well as, artwork depicting how Family Resource and Youth Service Centers make a difference in their school.

On March 20, Helen and Seth both had the opportunity to serve as a page for Representative John Tilley on the house floor. Prior to participating in the legislative page program, both Helen and Seth demonstrated an interest in government.

Helen has participated in the Pennyrile Electric Washington Youth Tour, and Seth has participated in the Kentucky Youth Association (KYA) conference in the past
