Trigg County High School’s softball team lost a pair of 5th District games last week, 5-1 to Crittenden County and 10-0 at Livingston Central.

Thursday, the Lady Wildcats managed only three baserunners against the Lady Rockets in a loss that dropped their overall record to 3-14. Arianna Brown doubled Brittany Thomas home for Trigg’s only score, and Alison Russell pitched a complete game and struck out seven.

Trigg also struggled at the plate last Tuesday against the district-leading Lady Cardinals, with Russell and Gracie Dixon knocking Trigg’s only hits. Russell pitched a complete game and struck out six.

The Lady ‘Cats play Thursday at Dawson Springs, Friday at Fort Campbell and a doubleheader Monday at Caldwell County.
