TRACK AND FIELD: Trigg competes in final meet before region

Trigg County High School’s track team competed Friday in the Area 1 Championship at Marshall County.

Jayven Jones led Trigg on the day, placing in the top six in four individual events – second in long jump (19 feet, 11.5 inches), third in triple jump (39-11) and sixth in shot put (40-7) and the 100-meter dash (11.83 seconds).

Other Trigg results included the following:

BOYS – 110-meter hurdles: Ryan Gallogly, fourth, :20.56;

1600-meter run: Brandon Lewis, 11th, 5:14.1; Caleb Martin, 18th, 5:35.42;

200-meter dash: Micah Gordon, 18th, :26.56;

3200-meter run: Ethan Dossett, fifth, 11:31.46; Caleb Martin, 12th, 12:30.48;

4x400-meter relay, seventh, 4:23.63;

4x800-meter relay, seventh, 9:46.64;

800-meter run: Austin Pugh, 12th, 2:13.49;

Long jump: Devonte Turner, 17th, 12-2.5.
