Trigg County Middle School competes in Special Olympics

The Trigg County Middle School Special Olympics team competed in the Area 1 Regionals Track and Field competition at Murray State University on Saturday, April 26.

Area 1 includes Graves, Lyon, Calloway, Caldwell, McCracken, Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle and Ballard counties. Benji Goldberg (sixth Grade) placed second in tennis ball throw and first in the 10 meter walk.

Dakoyta Wynn (sixth Grade) received first in his division of softball throw. Kayla Gray (seventh Grade) received first in 50 meter dash and second place in her division of softball throw. Alexis Przewoznik (seventh Grade) won first place in tennis ball throw.

Nyekeura Thompson (seventh Grade) earned first place and Jami Gray (seventh Grade) in second place softball throw. Weston Miller (seventh Grade) also received second place in 50m dash and third place in softball throw. Coaches were Lucinda Barnett and Alecia Underwood. Volunteers were Amber Miller, Suzanne Przewoznik and Smith Rogers.
