Trigg’s middle and high school teams each finished in first place in the National Archery in the Schools Program’s National Tournament at Freedom Hall in Louisville. More than 10,000 archers competed.
Trigg’s middle school team finished with a team score of 3,360 and finished first out of 197 teams, and the high school Arrowcats took first out of 164 teams with a score of 3,442. It’s the third consecutive national title for the high schoolers.
Trigg’s elementary team finished sixth out of 114 teams with a score of 3,168.
Trigg was led on the day by freshman Clay Stevens, who scored 295, finished sixth in the high school boys division and was named to the NASP All-American Team.
