“Pam’s Pick” this week: “The Collector” by Nora Roberts, this is the story of a woman who needs nothing, a man who sees everything, and the web of deceit, greed, and danger that brings them together.

New Fiction: “Frozen Heat” by Richard Castle, this is the fourth book in the Nikki Heat series. Nikki Heat and Jameson Rook team up again to investigate their coldest killer yet.

“Everything to Lose” by Andrew Gross, this is the story of a determined mother caring for her handicapped son that becomes entangled in a murderous conspiracy to keep a twenty-year-old secret buried.

“Desperate” by Daniel Palmer, this is the story of a couple’s dream going awry. When Gage and Anna meet Lily, a pregnant, homeless teenager, it seems that fate has brought them together. Lily agrees to give the couple her baby in return for financial support, but something isn’t right. Gage finds himself being sabotaged at home and work, and his attempts to uncover the truth only seem to make his life unravel faster.

“Til Death” by Sharon Sala, this is a Rebel Ridge novel. Nearly twenty years after he was wrongly convicted of setting the fire that killed his father, Lincoln Fox returns to Rebel Ridge, Kentucky. There, deep in the Appalachians, the truth of that terrible night lies buried--and he’s sworn to uncover it.

New Christian fiction: “A Talent for Trouble” by Jen Turano, this is the story of Miss Felicia Murdock whose every thought and action has been in pursuit of becoming a minister’s wife. When the minister she’d set her sights on has other ideas, she decides something in her life needs to change--and soon--before she wastes any more time pretending to be someone she’s not.

“Gunpowder Tea” by Margaret Brownley, this is book three in the Brides of Last Chance Ranch series. Miranda Hunt is a female Pinkerton continuing in her deceased father’s footsteps. Miranda is sent to investigate the biggest case of her life. She must determine the identity of a train robber known only as the Phantom.

New Mystery: “Aunt Dimity & the Wishing Well” by Nancy Atherton, wishes come true in this new Aunt Dimity mystery. When Lori volunteers to help Jack clear out his uncle’s overgrown garden, they discover a wishing well. After Lori laughingly tosses a coin into the garden’s old well and makes a wish, she is baffled to find that the wish seems to have come true. Word spreads, and the villagers turn out in droves to make wishes of their own. As more and more wishes come true, Lori resolves to find out what’s really going on.

New Biography: “Everybody’s Got Something” by Robin Roberts, the host of Good Morning America recounts her recent struggle with illness and path to recovery. The book begins in 2012, when Roberts was first diagnosed with MDS (a disease sometimes referred to as pre-leukemia), and traces step-by-step her experiences through the treatment that included a bone marrow transplant from her sister, Sally-Ann, all the way to her triumphant return to morning television.

New Non-fiction: “Happy This Year!” by Will Bowen, this book will teach you how to align your thoughts, words, and actions so that they create the habits, character, and destiny of happiness. The secret to getting happy once and for all.

“Crash the Chatterbox” by Steven Furtick, this book will help you to hear God’s voice above all others, with four key principles.

“Neighbor Law” by Emily Doskow and Lina Guillen, this book will help you resolve neighbor conflicts and have peace of mind. Know your rights and responsibilities.

“The End of Dieting” by Joel Fuhrman, M.D., this is the book we have been waiting for, a proven, effective, and sustainable approach to eating that lets us lose weight and reclaim our health.

“Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook” by Sarah Fragoso, this book has more than eighty delicious recipes that are free of grains, dairy, sugar and legumes.
