Funeral services for Charles Q. McKinney, 66, of Cerulean, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Charles McKinney passed away following a long illness at 7:19 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Caldwell Medical Center in Caldwell County.

He was born on June 20, 1947, in Cerulean to Ollie McKinney and Ozona Quisenberry McKinney.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Princeton and was a retired foreman from Ebonite.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Mae McKinney; second wife Dorothy Ann McKinney; brother Fred Douglas McKinney; sister Opal Blakeley; and son Timothy McKinney.

He is survived by two daughters, Lou Ann Ross of Indianapolis, Ind. and Chikita Riley of Princeton; six grandchildren, Ciera Teal, Lametre “Meaty” Riley, Lamont-real Riley, Prishionia Lyle, Giovonnie Riley and Giovonte Riley; and two nephews.
