In the Tuesday, Nov. 4, General Election, Burnam will face off against Keith Lancaster (D).
Every other local incumbent survived their respective Primary challenges, including Trigg County PVA (Property Valuation Administrator) Michael Bryan (D), who beat his opponent Connie Allen by a vote of 1,230 – 1,011. Trigg County Jailer James Hughes (D) beat his opponent Larry Bland by a vote of 1,794 – 475. With a margin of 1,319 votes, it was easily the least close local race of the night.
Both Hughes and Bryan will run unopposed in November.
In the Democratic race for Trigg County Clerk, Carmen Finley eked out a win against Melissa Burgess by a vote of 1,175 – 1,088, a difference of 87 votes.
Finley will face off against Donovan Washer (R) in November.
