Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist Commission Executive Director Bill Stevens will get a 3-percent raise starting July 1 – the beginning of the next fiscal year.

That’s what Tourist Commission members voted to do at a special called meeting last week, said Tourist Commission Chairman Deepak Patel.

But questions have arisen about the Turning Visions Into Reality Committee, specifically about its goals and its powers. Such questions were raised at this month’s Tourist Commission meeting, where Patel said they met on April 17.

“My opinion is, this board is who should be coming up with direction for Bill,” said Tourist Commission member Lawrence. “This committee has nothing to do with managing Bill. All these things on this list are things that this board should be deciding, not Turning Vision Into Reality.”
