Placing the wreath at East End Cemetery in Honor of Memorial Day were: James Douglas Sumner, United States Army veteran Vietnam Era, member of the Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter SAR; and Margery Doom Sumner, member of the James Thomas Chapter KSDAR. They also placed a wreath at the Justice Center.

The annual Memorial Day program will be Monday at the Renaissance Center located at 49 Jefferson Street in Cadiz.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. with Virginia Alexander regent of James Thomas Chapter KSDAR calling the meeting to order. Assisting the local DAR Chapter with the program include Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander, members of the American Legion Post No. 74; VFW; American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; VFW Auxiliary and W.O.W.

Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter-SAR President Geoff Baggett will be the featured speaker. Veterans, Gold Star Mothers and Wives will be recognized during the program. Members of the Pennyrile Color Guard will post the colors.

Special seating for Gold Star Mothers and Wives is being arranged. The public is encouraged to attend this Memorial Day Program.
