Homer Futrell passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at his home.
He was born December 14, 1915 in Linton to Charles Albert and Sedalia Jones Futrell.
Mr. Futrell was a life-long farmer having farmed many years in the Donaldson Creek Community of Trigg County. He was a member of Crocket’s Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Knight Futrell; his parents Charles Albert Futrell and Sedalia Jones Futrell; four brothers, Conrad Futrell, Plomer Futrell, Ray Futrell and Floyd Futrell; two sons, Harold “Tom” Futrell and Charles Futrell; one daughter, Carolyn Futrell; and two sons-in-law, Ronnie Keel and Buddy Underhill.
He is survived by one sister, Velma Stewart of Evansville, Ind.; three sons, Doug Futrell (and wife Christine) of Dover, Tenn., Kenneth Futrell of Cadiz and H.B. Futrell (and wife Florence) of Cadiz; four daughters, Doris Keel of Dover, Tenn., Linda Paige of Cadiz, Jessie Scott (and husband Paul) of Murray and Joyce Underhill of Cadiz; daughter-in-law Debbie Futrell of Cadiz; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Mike Underhill, Kerry Underhill, Danny Pritchett, Kevin Futrell, Jason Futrell and Josh Futrell.
