Nellie Mae Adams passed away of natural causes at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
Nellie Mae was born on April 12, 1919, in Trigg County to William Buckner P’Pool and Anna Watkins Brandon P’Pool.
She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Group. Nellie was also a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Hayden “Dock” Adams and a number of brothers and sisters.
Nellie Mae is survived by brother Clint P’Pool (and wife Pauline) of Cadiz; son Carroll H. “Bubby” Adams (and wife Faye Litsey) of Port Orange, Fla.; two daughters, Martha Hyde (and the late Wallace) of Cadiz and Doris Kennedy (and husband Edward) of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Debbie and Steve Hardy, Teresa Hyde, Wayne and Keana Hyde, Sonny and Melissa Kennedy; 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda and Dustin Cunningham, Rachel and David Crowder, Daniel Hardy, Sarah Hardy, Rebekah Hardy, Alana Hardy, Audra Baker, Arizona Kennedy, Keaton Hyde and Kara Hyde; and two great-great-grandchildren, Addie Shea Cunningham and Nathan Wallace Crowder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were George Hogg, Wayne Hyde, Daniel Hardy, Sonny Kennedy, Denzil P’Pool and Timmy P’Pool. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the UMW group. Music was provided by Clarissa King, pianist and Clarence King, pianist and vocalist.
