Two Trigg teams win, one takes second at TCYAA Summer Slam baseball tourney

The Trigg County Youth Athletic Association hosted its annual Summer Slam baseball tournament last weekend at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

Trigg County 8U won the Trigg County Summer Slam title. They went 5-1 over the weekend, beating Caldwell County 20-17 in the championship game. Coaches are Steven Reynolds, Ricky Baker, Marc Terrell, and Mark Butts.

Trigg County 10U finished second at the Summer Slam. They went 6-1 over the weekend, falling to Clarksville 13-5 in the title game. Coaches are Stephen Audas, Ricky Butts, Jeff Hunter, and Brian Ahart.

Trigg County 12U won the summer slam. They beat Murray 17-3 in the title game. Coaches are Mark Butts and David Cunningham. Nolan Manzer waiting for a throw at second vs. Murray.

Jacob Kent hit three home runs in the tournament. Matthew Leeper making a play in the 8U title game. Anthony Ethridge waiting for a call at the plate in the 10U game vs. the Murray Mavericks.
