The Thomas and Bridges family of Trigg County will gather for their 43rd annual reunion on Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20, at the Trigg County Recreation Complex Convention Center.

Descendants of James Thomas, Sr., and Drury Bridges, two of Trigg County’s early pioneer settlers will meet for three days of fun and fellowship. Both James Thomas and Drury Bridges came from North Carolina.

Drury and his family arrived in 1804 and settled on 84 acres of land on Beechy Fork Creek. James arrived in 1806 and settled on 200 acres of land at what is now the intersection of the Donaldson and Cadiz roads.

James Thomas had seven children, three of whom married into Drury Bridges’ family of seven children, thus a reunion could not be held without both families being present.
