Marilyn Hopkins passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton.
Mrs. Hopkins worked as a counselor at the Senior Center in Springfield, Ill. She was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church and was a district officer for the United Methodist Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her father Theodore White; her mother, Mildred Smith White; two brothers, Frank White and Jerry White; two sisters, Beverly Gibson and Connie Sorrell; one daughter, Michelle Hopkins; and one granddaughter, Amanda Durham.
Marilyn Hopkins is survived by her husband of 64 years, William P. “Bill” Hopkins of Cadiz; three sons, William Hopkins, III. (and wife Debbie) of Springfield, Ill., Stephen E. Hopkins (and wife Cheryl) of Johns Island, S.C., and Terry L. and Kristine Briggs of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Will, Kathleen, Tristan, Lauren, Jeremy, Timothy, Randall and Zachary; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Riley and Gunnar.
Music was provided by Clay King, pianist and vocalist.
