It was a packed house on Friday night when Trigg County High School’s football team hosted its annual Meet the Wildcats dinner. In fact, 235 were in attendance.

Head coach Coby Lewis was pleased with the crowd. “We had a very successful night, and we received a lot of community support.”

The players showed their appreciation by serving a plate of food to each one of the guests. After the meals were complete, the donation auction began.

“We sold a lot of items and made some money that is going to help us out during the season,” Lewis said. “It takes a lot of money to run a football team, and this community has always supported everything we do, and I want to thank you for it.”

Player introductions went a little differently this year. After the auction, each player took the microphone and introduced themselves to the crowd.
