Betty Long Turner passed away following a long illness at 12:05 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at her home.
Betty was born on July 18, 1937, in Christian County to Mack and Zona Smiley Long.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Betty had been co-owner of the Circle T Ranch Summer Camp since 1969 and was a retired computer lab teacher, having taught at Morningside Elementary for 14 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rachel Long Moore.
Betty Long Turner is survived by her husband, Neville Turner of Cerulean; two brothers, Jarrell Long (and wife Judy) of Gracey and Edwin Long (and wife Susan) of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Sandra Turner of Cerulean, Mrs. James (Debbie Turner) Upton of Cerulean and Mrs. Michael (Lisa Turner) Bush, also of Cerulean; one son, Greg Turner of Hopkinsville, and five grandchildren, James Dillon Upton, Dalton Cole Upton, Brittany Turner Reed, Keenan Neville Bush and Karson Lacy Bush.
Serving as pallbearers were James Upton, Dillon Upton, Dalton Upton, Michael Bush, Keenan Bush, Karson Bush and Bob Lancaster.
