4-H shooting club competes in Calvert City

The Trigg County 4-H Shooting Club competed Saturday in Calvert City. Results were as follows:

Shotgun: Casen Render, third, 9-11 year old group; Render and Daniel Ingram, third, buddy shoot 9-11; Gage Mathis and Junior Oliver, third, buddy shoot 12-14; Daniel Ingram and Jeff Hite, third, buddy shoot 15-18;

Rifle: Derek Joiner, third, 12-14; Derek Joiner and Jason Joiner, first, buddy shoot 12-14; Jason Joiner and Tommy Carpenter, second, buddy shoot 12-14.

Club coach Jesse Frye said the club recently introduced an honorary member, German exchange student Lukas Ritz. Frye said Ritz, who had no experience with firearms before being a guest of the club, hit three bullseyes in five shots at the end of his session.
