Linda Thompson passed away of natural causes at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at her home in Cerulean.
She was born on April 2, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., to James Lindsey and Myrtle Goin Lindsey.
Linda was of the Baptist faith and had worked in retail sales.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Thompson; two brothers, Bobby and Jimmy Lindsey; one sister, Carolyn Thompson; and one son, Robin Thompson.
Linda Thompson is survived by four brothers, David Lindsey, of Chicago, Ill., Wayne Lindsey of Fox Lake, Ill., Ricky Lindsey of Alma, Ill. and Jody Lindsey of Nashville, Tenn.; five sisters, Molly Ann Studenroth of Maggie Valley, N.C., Kathy Minderman of Cleveland, Tenn., Betty Sue Holewa of Clarksville, Tenn., Joy Lock of Clarksville, Tenn. and Marie Lindsey of Blue Island, Ill.; one son, Paul Thompson (and wife Robbin) of Cerulean; one daughter, Penny Proffitt and Steve Bryant of Cadiz; seven grandchildren, Antonio Thompson of Clarksville, Tenn., Paula Burkhart of Murray, Shane Thompson of Cerulean, Steven Fletcher of Clarksville, Tenn., Heather Eubank of Nashville, Tenn., Michelle Thompson and Rachael Thompson, both of Henderson; and seven great-grandchildren, Madeline, Julian, Sophia, Emma, Adrianna, Brandon and Rhys.
