James L. Albright, Sr., passed away on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
James was born on Nov. 3, 1934, in Mexico, Mo., to Elmer and Thelma Robinson Albright.
James was a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force in 1971, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later retired in 1999 from the City of Hopkinsville as the superintendent for the city sanitation department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Albright and Elmer Aldolph Albright; and one sister, Dorothy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Albright of Cadiz; two sons, James L. Albright Jr. (and wife Lynn) of Baytown, Texas and Stephen Albright of Bowling Green; one daughter, Connie Curtis (and husband Alvin) of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Dale Curtis and Melissa of Cadiz, Stacy Leigh and Christopher VanAlstyne, Sr. of Savannah, Ga., Amanda Albright of St. Aug.ine, Fla., Jessica Leigh and Josh Pence of Clarksville, Tenn., Sarah Curtis White of Cadiz, Andrea Albright of Illinois, Anna and Chris Love of Illinois and Olivia Albright of Baytown, Texas; and 14 great-grandchildren.
