Trigg County’s girls soccer team picked up its first win of 2014 Thursday, topping Lyon County 9-0.

The victory puts the Lady Wildcats in an early lead in the 5th District, which includes the Lady Lyons and Crittenden County, which Trigg will host Tuesday.

Against Lyon, Trigg jumped out to a 5-0 lead before halftime and tacked on four more in the second.

Hannah Futrell led the way with four goals (three in the first half) and a pair of assists. Jordan Woodall scored both of her goals in the first half and assisted on Futrell’s first goal.

Trigg also had goals from Ann Marie McAtee, Libby Redd and Tiffany Shafer and assists from Hannah Carrico, Anna Morgan and Alyssa Richardson.
