Trigg County golfers Madison Chaney (above) and Carter Sholar (below) each carded solid rounds last Tuesday in a match at Arrowhead Golf Course against Murray and Calloway County.

Trigg County High School’s golf team hosted a match with Murray and Calloway County last Tuesday at Arrowhead Golf Course.

In boys play, the Wildcats shot a team score of 158, nine strokes behind Murray and 10 strokes ahead of Calloway.

Jake Price led Trigg with a score of 37, the third-best score of the day. Other Trigg players were Gabe Nolcox (40), Grayson Ford (40), Carter Sholar (41), Jackson Vinson (42), Matthew Skinner (45) and Will Allen (46).

Madison Chaney led Trigg’s girls with a 39, the second-best girls score of the match. Alex Ethridge shot a 52, and Jordan Jones finished at 65.

Trigg was scheduled to play against Caldwell County in Princeton on Tuesday (results unavailable at press time) before playing Saturday in Calvert City and hosting Marshall County on Monday.
